winter retreat

sorry for the delayed post. life has been a little crazy with staff changes and draaaama at work as well as some personal trials and tribulations. all in all life is good and making me a better, more awesome person day by day.
last week myself and the other volunteers went on a retreat to georgetown, colorado, about forty minutes outside of denver. we spent our time enjoying the winter weather and experiencing as much as we could within the city of denver.

the drive up included a stop in leadville, colorado. this little old west town won my heart. do you see the saloon? do ya see it?!

downtown georgetown where the la puente crowd shacked up.

a few us became short time regulars at the local bar in georgetown, the red ram. it was a pretty cool space with this sorta hip basement hangout space. we listened to whatever crap was on the jukebox and played some pool and airhockey. turned out katie is a balla when it comes to pool. here she goes for another bustin shot.

kate and will pose in front of the maxwell house, a mountain town victorian from the good ole' days (the 1800s!).

the monterey family. all that's missing is montrose the monstrosity.

mountain man.
